Färnebo Folk High School, established in 1991, is one of Sweden’s 156 folk high schools, initiated by 12 organizations passionate about peace, international solidarity, and environmental issues. Located in Österfärnebo and Gävle, the school serves as a beacon for community-oriented learning and advocacy.
The school is dedicated to nurturing active citizenship and democratic engagement through its curriculum, focusing on critical social issues such as climate change, environmental stewardship, feminism, antiracism, global justice, and local development.
