das kollektiv is an independent association of and for migrant women*. It is a place of critical educational work, of exchange, of collective organization and critical knowledge production. The central goal of the association is to promote the active and equal participation of migrants in Austrian society also by transforming this society into a better and fairer place for all. The focus of the association’s activities is in the area of adult education work with migrant and refugee women* who have the least privilege. This includes teaching activities (basic education incl. literacy and courses for completing the secondary school) as well as development and research projects. Consultations are offered as part of the educational measures or in addition. Through public relations, cultural work and networking, the association pursues the goal of making the concerns of the (participating) migrants visible to the general public. We also provide education and trainings for teachers.
