Stichting ABC is the only advocacy organisation by and for low-literates in the Netherlands. We stand up for adults who have completed primary education in the Netherlands, but have difficulty with reading, writing, arithmetic and have low digital skills.

We do this with 150 language-ambassadors (low-literacy experience experts) and their helpers. We are a 100% volunteer organisation.

To make the voice of low-literates heard by politicians, policymakers, the public and society so that low-literates can better participate in Dutch society

Goals

• To advocate for the interests of low-literate people;
• Providing information from their own stories and testing websites and texts for clear communication;
• Organising meetings of language-ambassadors, so they learn from each other
